Records due 24 hours before drop-off — Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella current. (Canine Influenza recommended, not required.)

Our trained staff watches how your dog plays with new dogs and people, what their style is — gentle, rough, anxious, confident — and how they settle after stimulation.

A written report card at same-day pickup — with a clear recommendation: daycare, modified play, or a better-fit alternative. After your first visit, progress notes are tracked in MoeGo.

How much does daycare cost at Meadow Ridge?
At Meadow Ridge Pet Lodge in Rapid City, daycare is $25/day for a Half Day (up to 4 hours) or $38/day for a Full Day (up to 10 hours). Multi-pet families save — second dog is $20/Half or $33/Full. New guests receive 20% off their first day. See full pricing →
Do I need to schedule daycare in advance?
Yes. At Meadow Ridge in Rapid City, every daycare day is reserved through booking — including drop-ins. Same-day availability depends on group placement, so we recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead. Regulars get priority on their usual days.
Do you offer daycare packages or memberships?
Yes. Meadow Ridge offers daycare packages that save up to 17% vs. day rates. Packages are best for families who plan to bring their dog 2 or more days a week. See package pricing →
Can I add Splash Park access?
Yes — Splash Park access is $5/day, added at booking. Splash Parks are currently reserved for our boarding and daycare guests. Public walk-in splash days are coming Summer 2026.
What’s the difference between half day and full day?
At Meadow Ridge in Rapid City, a Half Day is up to 6 hours — pickup by 1pm, ideal for shorter workdays or first-time visits. A Full Day is up to 12 hours, with structured play groups and a midday rest in your dog’s private suite. Full Day pickup is 4–7pm.
Are you open on holidays?
Daycare is not available on major or federal holidays. If you need care over a holiday, boarding may be available — call ahead to confirm. We’ll always give as much notice as possible for holiday closures.
Before the First Day
What vaccines do you require?
At Meadow Ridge in Rapid City, dogs need current Rabies, DHPP (Distemper/Parvo combo), and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations. Canine Influenza is recommended but not required. Records are due 24 hours before drop-off — email or upload at booking.
What if my dog doesn’t pass the screening?
We’ll have an honest conversation about what we observed. Some dogs do well in modified group play or our private boarding suites. If group daycare isn’t the right fit at all, we’ll recommend a better-fit alternative — no charge for the screening, no awkwardness.
What are your drop-off and pick-up hours?
Drop-off at Meadow Ridge in Rapid City is 7:00am–9:00am. Half Day pickup is by 1:00pm. Full Day pickup is 4:00pm–7:00pm.
During the Day
Will my dog be okay without me?
Almost every dog adjusts within the first day. We sort dogs by play style, give them quiet time when they need it, and make sure someone is always with them. If your dog is struggling more than usual, we’ll call you — no surprises. Most pet parents tell us their dogs come home tired, happy, and a little smug.
Do you separate dogs by size?
Yes — at Meadow Ridge in Rapid City, we sort by size, age, and play style, in small groups. Your dog won’t be in a chaos pit with 40 unscreened animals. Group placement is determined during the free screening day every new guest receives.
Does my dog need to be on a leash in the lobby?
Yes — always. Leashes are required at Meadow Ridge in all common areas including the lobby, taproom, and outdoor walkways. This is for the safety of every guest, two-legged and four-legged.
