Our Commitment

Meadow Ridge Pet Lodge is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe every visitor deserves a clear and usable experience, regardless of how they browse the web.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

What We've Done

To support accessibility, our website is built with the following practices:

• Semantic HTML — proper use of headings, landmarks, lists, and other structural elements so screen readers can navigate the page accurately.
• Skip navigation — a "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page lets keyboard users bypass repeated navigation.
• ARIA labels — interactive elements like buttons, modals, and menus include descriptive labels for assistive technology.
• Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, dropdowns) are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone.
• Alternative text — images include descriptive alt text, or are marked decorative when appropriate.
• Color contrast — text and interactive elements are designed to meet minimum contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
• Responsive design — the site adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels without loss of content or functionality.
• Focus indicators — visible focus styles are maintained for keyboard and assistive technology users.

Known Limitations

While we strive to meet accessibility standards, some areas of the site may not yet be fully optimized:

• Third-party booking and scheduling widgets (MoeGo, Acuity Scheduling) are provided by external vendors. Their accessibility is governed by their own policies and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Some images and video content may not yet have complete alternative descriptions. We are working to address these on an ongoing basis.

Assistive Technologies

We test and design for compatibility with common assistive technologies, including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver, as well as keyboard-only navigation and browser zoom.
